We've only had one episode of Humans' second series, and we're already hooked.

Although Channel 4 has yet to officially renew the sci-fi show for a third run (we'd be shocked if it didn't), star Emily Berrington has promised us that the end of series 2 will set up at least one more, providing people watch it.

"It's definitely been written that if there was an option for a third series that they've left some really juicy stuff in the air," Emily told Digital Spy.

Emily also teased that the ending of the series will be rather epic, saying: "I had a shiver, genuinely!

"I had a proper chill when I read where it gets to at the end of this series. Even when we were filming it I couldn't quite believe it, I don't think it would disappoint."

Emily currently stars alongside her Humans castmate Katherine Parkinson, as well as Steve Pemberton, Ralf Little and Rufus Jones, in the West End revival of Dead Funny.

Speaking about getting involved in the play, she said: "I was sitting next to Katherine Parkinson when I got the call so I mouthed to her, 'are you doing a play?' and so I went in and auditioned and chatted to Katherine about it during the week, and I got the part.

"I was so excited to be doing it, not just because Katherine was also doing it and I love working with her, but because I think the play was great. It's been absolutely amazing. It's been a dream.

"Katherine was saying to me, 'we're gonna have a really nice few months of this, everyone is really lovely', which is very important when you're just working with four other people for four or five months. They're all people that work in comedy and are people who are naturally funny, so there's a lot of laughs.

"Particularly with Steve, I used to be the biggest League of Gentlemen fan so I couldn't quite believe it when I walked into the rehearsal room with him! He's a real legend in my eyes."

The play will at run at London's Vaudeville Theatre until Saturday, February 4. Watch a teaser clip below:
