Con O'Neill appears in BBC Three's new Doctor Who spin-off - and he predicts you'll be blown away by Class.
The Ordinary Lies actor plays the father of April (Sophie Hopkins) - one of Coal Hill's students entrusted by the Doctor (Peter Capaldi) to protect the Earth from sinister forces.
"The scripts are written by Patrick Ness - this is his first TV project and he's just gifted," O'Neill told Digital Spy. "The kids they've got to play the leads are just awesome, and it's cool and it's sexy and it's really out-there - expect great things."

He singled out his screen daughter Hopkins for particular praise: "She's going to blow people's minds. She's just extraordinary. I play her wayward father and it was a joy to do. I've never done anything like that before, so it was thrilling to be on a set with aliens."
O'Neill also played down concerns that Class will appeal only to teenagers, insisting that the show isn't "precocious".
What to Read Next
"Ultimately, Doctor Who is aimed at kids, originally, but Class has got the wider appeal," he said. "It's very open, it's very honest, and there's some really well-written, rounded adult characters. So I think it's gonna be great."
Class follows four of Coal Hill Academy's Sixth Formers - Charlie (Greg Austin), Ram (Fady Elsayed), April (Hopkins) and Tanya (Vivian Oparah), as well all their teacher Miss Quill (Katherine Kelly).
Peter Capaldi will make a cameo in the first episode as the Doctor - but after that, the kids of Coal Hill are on their own against the darkness...
Class will debut its first two episodes on BBC Three online on Saturday, October 22.
Con O'Neill stars in Ordinary Lies, returning to BBC One for a new series tonight at 9pm.
