Winners often say they're speechless when they get up on stage to accept their awards, but it wasn't until tonight that we actually saw what that would look like.
During tonight's (May 8) House of Fraser British Academy Television Awards at the Royal Festival Hall, Peter Kay picked up the Best Male Comedy Performance award for his work in Peter Kay's Car Share.
And in the immortal words of Ronan Keating, Peter Kay definitely said it best when he said nothing at all, as he was quite literally left speechless on the stage.

After a quick, "Oh that's heavy isn't it?!", Kay stood at the winner's podium, largely in silence, for a good while, before finally saying "thank you" and walking off stage.
But that didn't stop it from becoming one of the best acceptance speeches of the night.
