It's safe to say that Matt LeBlanc joining the Top Gear presenting team was something of a surprise.
So much so that not one single gambler placed a bet with William Hill that it would happen.
"This is an astonishing bit of secret keeping," said the bookie's spokesman Rupert Adams.
"Nobody predicted Matt LeBlanc, and if anyone had enquired we would have made him a 500/1 outsider."
Main host Chris Evans claimed last June that the third co-presenter will "definitely" be female, though that promise was later downgraded to a "female presence on the show".

Evans has denied reports that his friend Zoe Ball has screen tested for a role on the show.
William Hill is offering odds of 4/7 that the third co-presenter will be a woman, and 5/4 that they won't.
Sabine Schmitz is hotly tipped at 1/3, with Suzi Perry at 5/1, Natalie Pinkham and Rebecca Jackson at 8/1.
Amazingly, odds on Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox or Lisa Kudrow joining Le Blanc on the show have been slashed to what seems like a reasonable 100/1.
