While the doors closed at Downton Abbey this Christmas, tonight it proved it's not the end of the story, as the ITV series won Best Drama at the National Television Awards.

Poldark star Aidan Turner, who is up for an award or two himself, announced the result, with Downton heading off competition from Broadchurch, Doctor Who and Casualty.
Hugh Bonneville quipped that the audience will be glad it is the "last possible time we could win" before he led the cast in thanking writer Julian Fellows and the show's producers.
"I want to say thank you to ITV for bringing us along all this way," the Robert Crawley actor added, before giving a special thanks to executive Peter Fincham, who is due to depart the channel shortly.
Joanne Froggat thanked viewers for watching and supporting the show, saying: "It's been the most incredible six years and I'll try very hard not to get emotional... but yes, it's meant so much to us, so thank you for coming with us on the journey."
And just to make sure they got the most out of their stage time, showrunner Julian Fellowes added: "You know I love happy endings and this is a happy ending."
