Professor Green joins Mel B to co-host Lip Sync Battle UK: 'I'm working with a f**king Spice Girl!'

Professor Green has joined ex-Spice Girl Mel B as a co-host on the upcoming UK version of Lip Sync Battle.

The show will see two celebs go head-to-head, showing off their lip-syncing skills as well as their dance moves, facial expressions and costumes.

"When the chance to work with Mel B came up, the answer was obviously a yes," said Professor Green.

"I'm working with a f***ing Spice Girl! The fact I'd be her co-host on Lip Sync Battle was also exciting."

He added: "Jokes aside, I'm very excited about filming the first series. Having spent a good while on YouTube watching the US show I'm looking forward to seeing what our guests bring to the table."

Channel 5's commissioning editor of entertainment Steve Regal said of the match-up: "We couldn't be more excited to announce Pro Green as Mel's co-host, they're a match made in Lip Sync Heaven.

"Take Mel B's edgy attitude and Professor Green's urban cool, throw in incredible performances from well-known faces and we're expecting fireworks!"

The original US version of the show is hosted by rapper LL Cool J and model Chrissy Teigen.

Lip Sync Battle UK comes to Channel 5 in January 2016.
