Following a major deal with AMC Global Media, ITV has launched a dedicated new channel to bring The Walking Dead Universe to UK audiences.
Announcing the news today, ITV confirmed the launch of a dedicated free ad-supported streaming television (FAST) channel for The Walking Dead Universe (TWDU) on ITVX.
The new channel will launch on ITVX on 7 July, bringing "one of television’s most iconic franchises to UK viewers through a continuous, live-streaming experience".

Available to view for free without a subscription, the channel will allow audiences to drop in and discover the expansive world of The Walking Dead at any time, without the need to search for individual titles or manage a watch list.
Kicking things off, the channel will launch with franchise favourites The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead.

This is the latest FAST channel to be added to ITVX's existing portfolio, which already includes ITV Classics, ITVX Kids and Reality 24/7.
The platform also has plans to expand its library of dedicated FAST channels with flagship ITV programmes, including The Only Way Is Essex, Midsomer Murders, and The Chase.
This comes a day after the news that Sky had agreed terms to take over ITV in a £1.6 billion deal, bringing together two of the UK's most recognisable broadcasters.
As part of the deal, ITV channels and ITVX will remain free-to-air and viewers will not be required to purchase a Sky subscription.
An official statement explained: "ITV's channels and ITVX will remain free-to-air, with all public service broadcasting commitments continuing in full, including regional news and programming.
"Viewers will continue to enjoy the shows they know and love, such as Coronation Street, Emmerdale, Love Island, I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, This Morning, Loose Women, Lorraine and News at Ten – alongside major live sporting events."
The Walking Dead Universe FAST channel will be available via ITVX from 7 July 2026.
