A first look at The Handmaid's Tale star Elisabeth Moss in new legal drama Conviction has been unveiled. The upcoming Hulu series focuses on criminal defence attorney Neve Harper.
Based on the book by Jack Jordan, the story follows Harper as she gets a chance to make her name with the big case of a husband accused of killing his wife by arson.
However, she begins to be blackmailed by a stranger, forcing her to compromise all her legal, moral and ethical obligations to get an acquittal, or risk dark secrets being exposed.

A series of filming pictures have now emerged, showing Moss in character as Harper as she walks down a street.
Conviction has been written by David Shore, who is behind medical dramas House and The Good Doctor, and also features The Great's Sebastian De Souza, Breaking Bad's Adam Godley, Grey's Anatomy's Kevin McKidd and Pachinko's Jimmi Simpson.

Moss is well-known for playing June Osborne in dystopian drama The Handmaid's Tale, and revealed last year that she initially turned down the role twice, before accepting after learning who they would offer it to instead.
"I wasn't quite sure if I was ready to make that commitment again, so I actually passed the first time they offered it to me," she told The Jennifer Hudson Show.
"I know, it seems insane now. I'm so glad I've corrected that. And then they came back, and they very nicely offered it again, blah, blah, blah.
"Then the thing that clinched it was – they leaked it to me, obviously on purpose, who they were going to offer it to if I didn't take it, and I was like, 'Over my dead body'."
Moss added: "It was the thing that made me realise that I needed to do it. I couldn't stand the idea of anyone else playing that role, you know what I mean? That was the thing that made me realise how badly I wanted to do it."
The star recently appeared in Apple TV's Imperfect Women alongside Kerry Washington and Kate Mara, the series exploring a decades-long friendship between three women and the dark secrets underneath.
Conviction will stream on Hulu.
