BBC series The Wheel is getting a schedule shake-up ahead of the upcoming season finale.
The Michael McIntyre show is approaching the end of its ongoing fifth season, though the final episode won't be broadcast this Saturday (December 14) as expected, instead airing the following weekend on Saturday, December 21 at 8.25pm.
The broadcaster has now confirmed that this weekend's 8.35pm slot will be taken by a new special dedicated to McIntyre called Michael McIntyre’s 25th Year Stand-up Special – showing his set Macnificent.

This synopsis reads: "Michael McIntyre celebrates 25 years of stand-up comedy with a special recording of Macnificent, his latest worldwide sold-out show.
"Filmed at the iconic London Palladium and filled with Michael’s hilarious observations of everyday life, this is a comedy night to remember as he marks a very special milestone."

Meanwhile, last year's The Wheel winner Toby, who is blind, explained how the show adapted to help him, saying the BBC were "absolutely brilliant".
"I’ve been asked a lot what the BBC did to make my experience as a blind person much easier on the show," he said on TikTok. "Honestly, they were absolutely brilliant.

"Firstly, they brought in an external member of staff to be my guide for the day, off the set and on the set, and they allowed me to go around the set beforehand to get my bearings. They even let my girlfriend come with me, just to make me feel safe, bless them."
He also called McIntyre "absolutely incredible", adding: "He read out all the questions twice, made sure I knew where all the celebrities were and what topics they had. He even described what was going on while the wheel was moving, which was actually really funny."
Meanwhile, last year it was confirmed that NBC had cancelled the US version of The Wheel after one season.
