We've been given our first official look at Gavin and Stacey: The Finale, thanks to the BBC.
In the newly-released image, the four main cast members – James Corden as Smithy, Mathew Horne as Gavin, Joanna Page as Stacey and Ruth Jones as Nessa – have recreated the original artwork which accompanied the very first series, 17 years ago.

The BBC has also released a taster of what's to come in the highly-anticipated new episode, five years since that cliffhanger...
The official synopsis reads: "In Barry, Bryn's packing the Picasso in readiness for a trip to Essex; Stacey and Gavin are looking for new ways to spice up their seventeen year marriage and Gwen is behaving most strangely."
We also know that Nessa has "started a new business venture" and that Neil the Baby is about to take on an apprenticeship with his dad.

Fans of the beloved sitcom had already been getting teases of what might be to come from the 2024 Christmas special – set to be the last episode ever.

Filming pictures hinted at a possible wedding and there's also been talk of potential funeral scenes. The latter was spurred on by James Corden himself who, during a public appearance at the Global Gift Gala last month, teased: "But was there a funeral? Maybe yes. Maybe no..."
Gavin and Stacey's new 90-minute festive finale will get a spot on the BBC's Christmas Day schedule, with the time slot still to be confirmed.
