Coleen Nolan issued an update on sister Linda's cancer battle during an episode of Loose Women.

Linda Nolan was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005, which returned in 2017 and has spread to her brain, liver and bones.

Former Nolans singer Coleen said Linda "doesn't want to know how long she has left" as she discussed Sir Chris Hoy announcing he has terminal cancer.

"I know my sister Linda at the moment, who's been amazing and is still amazing, I'm in awe of her every day," she began.

"I know, for her, one of the things she doesn't want to know is how long she's got left. Because she feels that once she's given that prognosis that it would probably make her just give up trying to live.

"At the moment, she's still having treatment and that's what's keeping her going you know, 'as long as they're still going to treat me then I'm going to keep on going'."

Coleen shared how Linda's mindset has changed, and how she has moved plans to ensure she is there to enjoy them.

"She does say more often than not now, she'll say things like 'well no, let's do that this week because I might not be here next week'," she continued.

"Or she'll say she's now doing more because she's 'living each day like it might be my last day' and 'I might not have tomorrow,' so that mindset has changed."

Coleen and Linda lost their sister Bernie in 2013 after she died following a three-year battle with breast cancer.

Anne Nolan was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2000, which returned in 2020 and Anne announced she was cancer-free within the same year. Her diagnosis meant she and Bernie were both being treated for cancer at the same time.

Last year, Coleen announced that she had skin cancer and assured fans she would be okay after undergoing treatment for carcinoma on her shoulder and pre-melanoma on her face.
