Victoria, starring Jenna Coleman as British monarch Queen Victoria, has just been added to Netflix today (October 1).
The historical drama, which first aired on ITV in 2016, charts Victoria's early life, with a particular focus on her marriage to her husband Prince Albert (played by Tom Hughes).
Season one spans 1837 to 1840, during which time Victoria ascended to the throne at the young age of just 18. The former matriarch's close relationship with Prime Minister Lord Melbourne (portrayed by Rufus Sewell), who acted as her adviser in the early years, is also dramatised.

The period drama, which is made up of three seasons in total, goes on to touch on various points across British and German royal history, all against the backdrop of Victoria and Albert's family life. They had a total of six children together – while we won't spoil it for you here, season three ends on a cliffhanger and there are no plans for a season four.
Jenna Coleman, perhaps best known for her roles in Doctor Who and Waterloo Road, has most recently been seen in BBC One's crime drama The Jetty, which released earlier this year.
