Merlin star Colin Morgan has teased his upcoming BBC drama with Annabel Scholey, calling it "unpredictable".
Dead and Buried stars Scholey as Cathy, whose life begins to spiral after she and her young son encounter Morgan's character Michael – the man convicted of murdering her brother 20 years earlier – at a supermarket.
Michael has since built a successful career and family life, but Cathy is determined to make him pay for his crimes by instigating a secret relationship with him and masterminding a campaign of harassment.

Discussing the four-part series – which is set to premiere on BBC One Northern Ireland and BBC iPlayer this autumn – during a new interview with Radio Times, Morgan said it's "entirely about the unexpected, the unpredictable".
He went on to explain how Michael has "no idea what's coming his way" or "how to handle things when they do", adding: "Audiences can expect to see a man trying to keep his head above water as it gets deeper and deeper – and deeper."
The show will also explore how Michael and some other characters use dark humour as a coping mechanism, which Morgan said is a "trait" often used by the Northern Irish and Dead and Buried's writer, Colin Bateman.

"A very Northern Irish (and a very Colin Bateman) trait is the ability to 'deal' with pain with humour, often on the darker side – the greater the pain, the greater the need to offset it in whatever way you can," he said.
"It just so happens that Michael, and many of the characters in Dead And Buried, have dark humour as a coping mechanism."
The actor continued: "I'm sure a psychologist could give the deep-dive on where it all stems from; all I know is that there's a lot of it in Northern Ireland, and there's a lot of it in this show, which only adds to its twisted appeal as well as its authenticity."
Dead and Buried also stars Kerri Quinn (The Witcher: Blood Origin), Waj Ali (Carnival Row), Owen Roe (Vikings) and Niamh Walsh (The Sandman).
Dead and Buried will premiere on BBC One Northern Ireland and BBC iPlayer this autumn.
