Comedian Russell Howard has announced that he and his wife Cerys Morgan have welcomed his first child into the world.
The Russell Howard's Good News and Mock the Week star confirmed to The Times that Cerys, who's a doctor, gave birth to their son three months ago – and reflected on what life as a new dad is like for him.
"Six months ago my evenings would have been spent getting ready to go out and perform in front of a thousand people," he said, "but now evenings find me sitting on the sofa watching TV with my son on my chest.

"I'm tired a lot. It's funny, when you become a parent everybody compliments you on your baby, but they will freely turn to you and say that you look like shit, that your face should be on a government watch list or something.
"So I try to get sleep whenever I can. Right now, I need it."
Parenthood isn't the only way the couple's lives have changed, as they've also moved away from London after 12 years and now call Buckinghamshire home.
Russell also confirmed that he and Cerys have welcomed a new puppy to their family recently.

"The dog, Fred, is a cavachon. He really should be living in the lap of an old lady; he was made to be in a restaurant, eating brunch," he said.
"We have lots of foxes where we are and Fred loves nothing more than rolling in fox shit. It's nature's perfume, apparently. This means that we spend a lot of our time breathing through our teeth."
Russell and Cerys started dating in 2004. He confirmed their engagement at the end of 2018, and they tied the knot the following year.
Meanwhile, Russell's frequent former Mock the Week co-star Hugh Dennis recently teased the return of beloved sitcom Outnumbered for a Christmas special this year – explaining that it's going to be quite different as the kids have now grown up and have flown the nest.
