Bon Jovi's stirring rock anthems have been filling stadiums and blasting out of speakers across the globe for over 40 years. They've sold over 120 million records, and performed to over 34 million fans around the world.
A new four-part documentary, Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story premieres today (Friday, April 26). It looks back at the band's entire career – including the highs of their rise to fame with classic rock tracks including 'You Give Love a Bad Name', 'Always', 'Bad Medicine' and 'It's My Life'.
The first-look trailer for the documentary sees the band's frontman Jon Bon Jovi revealing that he didn't actually think all that much of 'Livin on a Prayer' as they wrote it – a certified triple-platinum hit that's arguably their best-known song.

However, there's also a focus on the lows in this miniseries – including the abrupt departure of guitarist Richie Sambora in 2013. Speaking recently to the i newspaper, Jon explained that there is "no animus" between him and Richie – and when asked if he could return to the band one day, said: "Just plug in the guitar. He knows three-quarters of the songs."
Richie appears in the trailer reflecting on his decision to leave Bon Jovi, saying: "I don't regret leaving, but I regret how I did it."

The documentary also sees the band's frontman at a crossroads, as Jon deals with a vocal chord injury that required major surgery and rehabilitation. He's shown in hospital in the trailer, and becomes emotional as he admits: "I don't know if there's gonna be a happy ending."

Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story premieres in its entirety today (Friday, March 26) on Disney+ in the UK. There are three tiers of package you can sign up for: Standard with Ads (£4.99/month), Standard (£7.99/month or £79.90/year), or Premium (£10.99/month or £109.90/year).
The Premium package will let you stream in 4K UHD & HDR quality on up to four devices simultaneously. It also has Dolby Atmos support if you've got compatible hardware.
Standard subscribers can watch in 1080p full HD on up to two devices at once. The capabilities for Standard with Ads subscribers are almost the same – except that they cannot download content. You'll need the Standard package for that.
Disney+ doesn't currently have a free trial, but there are some ways you can save on a subscription – whether that's up to six months free with selected O2 contracts, or by turning your Clubcard points into money-off vouchers.
The Disney+ content list in the UK contains a good amount of music programming, from live concert movies featuring the likes of Taylor Swift, Elton John and BTS to documentaries about Ed Sheeran, Olivia Rodrigo and Peter Jackson's acclaimed docu-series The Beatles: Get Back.
Beatles fans may also be interested to know that Let It Be will be streaming exclusively on the platform from May 8. It's been restored by Jackson and his team at Park Road Post Production, and it marks the first time that Michael Lindsay-Hogg's 1970 film about the band has been made widely available in over 50 years.
And of course, Disney+ also includes a huge library of Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and Pixar content, plus a range of blockbuster movies and a large catalogue of scripted TV shows such as Grey's Anatomy, The Bear, Shōgun, NCIS, The Walking Dead, Atlanta, This Is Us... we could keep going...

For viewers in the US, Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story will be streaming on Hulu – which does have a 30-day free trial for "new and eligible returning subscribers".
Hulu is only available in the US. Pricing currently starts at $7.99 per month for the basic ad-supported plan. The minimal-ad version, Hulu (No Ads) is priced at $17.99 per month – but note that "due to streaming rights, there may be select shows from our streaming library that will play with a short ad break before and after each episode for Hulu (No Ads) subscribers".
The top-level package, Hulu+ Live TV, is priced at $76.99/ month, but you'll get your first three days' access for free. This includes the ad-supported versions of Hulu, Disney+ and ESPN+, alongside "95+ channels with Live TV [and] Unlimited DVR".
Various streaming-only bundle packages are available, too, starting at $9.99/month for the ad-supported versions of Hulu and Disney+ (also known as the 'Disney Bundle Basic' package).
