Shameless star Tina Malone has shared her "heartbreak" following the death of her husband Paul Chase at the age of 42.
The actress, best known for playing Mimi Maguire in the Channel 4 series, announced her husband’s tragic passing on social media on Wednesday (March 13).
In a post on X, she wrote: "It is with total heartbreak I write this. My husband Paul Chase Malone passed away this morning. We are totally devastated."

While Chase’s cause of death isn’t known, Malone’s sad announcement attracted hundreds of comments from fans expressing their condolences.
The couple got married back in 2010, and have one daughter together, who was born in 2013. While they split up briefly in 2019, they got back together four months later and recently celebrated 13 years of marriage in August.
In 2020, shortly after the pair reunited, Malone revealed to Closer that their temporary split was as a result of their mental health issues and financial worries.
"The love never went away," she said. "We’re working on things now. Our problems were compounded by depression, but I’ve learned that, in tough times, you have to pull together and not apart."

Later that year, Malone also opened up to Closer about what it was like living with Chase during lockdown.
She said: "Overall, I’ve been pleasantly surprised at how my husband of nine years, Paul, and I have got on during lockdown.
"There are tough times – we’re all more bored, frustrated, scared and angry than we’d usually be, so it can be a pressure cooker. But what’s great is that you have the arguments, and because you can’t go off somewhere or run away from it, you really have to sit down and address the issues or solve the problem."
"Communication has really improved with us,” she added, “and I think that will make us stronger in the long run."
