Doctor Who stars including Karen Gillan and Jenna Coleman have reunited after "a few red wines", in a dancing TikTok video.

The two actresses starred as companions to the Doctor in the BBC series, with Gillan playing Amy Pond alongside Matt Smith, and Coleman playing Clara Oswald with both Smith and his successor Peter Capaldi.

While the pair were on the show at different times, it still feels like a Doctor Who reunion, especially as Gillan and Coleman also met up with former showrunner Steven Moffat, who created and wrote both Amy and Clara during his time at the helm.

The Doctor Who crossover got fans very excited in the comments – including the show's current showrunner Russell T Davies, who simply wrote: "Oh wow!".

Gillan was involved in another Doctor Who reunion at the end of last year, as she did some Christmas shopping with Alex Kingston, who played River Song – and Amy's daughter, Melody.

In November, Moffat shared his thoughts about future Doctor Who spin-offs, after Davies hinted that there could be more to come following his return to the show.

He said: "There's loads of things you can do. There's loads of ideas in Doctor Who that are good enough for their own show, that's the truth. The obvious one is UNIT – why did no one just do UNIT?"

Doctor Who will return for its 14th series in May, airing on BBC One in the UK and Disney+ elsewhere. Classic episodes of Doctor Who are available on BBC iPlayer in the UK.
