Shetland spoilers follow.
Shetland's latest twist has teased the exit of yet another major character from the show.
It has already been confirmed that Douglas Henshall, who plays DI Jimmy Perez on the show, would make his final appearance in season 7.
But now it seems like we might bid adieu to one more cast member of the show thanks to a major twist in the third episode of Shetland.
In this episode, Connor is still missing, so DS Alison 'Tosh' McIntosh volunteers to check out a location that could deliver some key evidence and maybe even reveal the whereabouts of Connor himself. When Jimmy offers to take her place instead, she brushes him off and decides to ride solo.

While on her search, she calls Jimmy to give him an update about the progress of her search, but while she's on the phone, she accidentally activates a tripwire.
As the countdown begins, Tosh struggles to find a way to escape, only to realise she is trapped. She then makes her way to a window but it doesn't open. In the next shot, the bomb detonates and Tosh is nowhere to be seen.
It is still possible that Tosh somehow made it out alive, but the chances of it are looking very slim. Tosh is a very integral part of the show, so it would be devastating for fans if they have to lose yet another character.
Back in July, it was revealed that Douglas Henshall would bow out of Shetland after season 7.

"After series 5 of Shetland, [creator] David Kane and I decided we wanted to do 2 more series to complete the story of Jimmy Perez. So series 6 and 7 were commissioned together to give us time to wrap up Perez's story to a satisfactory end," he said in a statement.
"It's been one of the privileges of my career to play Jimmy Perez for almost 10 years and to work with so many wonderful people both in front of and behind the camera, and also to spend so much time in Shetland.
"The Isles were so much a part of our show and of Perez himself. I'll miss him and the place. I wish everyone involved much luck with whatever happens next," he added.
New episodes of Shetland season 7 premiere every Wednesday on BBC One.
