Bridgerton's beauty, Charithra Chandran has spilled the tea on filming scenes with one of her earliest childhood crushes, Anthony Head, who starred in Buffy.
During a roundtable discussion with Digital Spy, Chandran, who plays Edwina Sharma on the Netflix series, revealed her emotional experience during the dinner scene that features the Buffy alum.
"It was a dream come true," she began. "Anthony Head as Giles in Buffy was my first ever crush.
"I was so nervous. I was so anxious because I remember watching Buffy for the first time, and I was so young. So I didn't really understand what a crush was. But I just remember closing my eyes, and getting really hot and flustered when he'd come on screen.

She continued: "I was so excited to meet him. The final day we were filming with him, I just went and asked for a photo and he is the chillest guy and he's like, 'call me Tony'."
Jonathan Bailey, who plays Anthony Bridgerton, added that Chandran had a "strategy" to include all of them in the picture at the time.

Acknowledging her feat, Chandran replied: "Yeah, I was like, can we get an official photographer to take a photo? That was literally the best day ever."
Bailey went on: "What an iconic series [Buffy]. I think when you have Giles (Head) from Buffy coming in to grace his presence, I mean that elevates the show."

"I mean, he was brilliant, best day," Chandran chimed.
Simone Ashley, who plays Kate Sharma, recalled Head's role was something the cast spoke about throughout filming, before episode five.
She added they didn't know who was going to his play Lord Sheffield or that Head had been cast.
"We were guessing between all of us that leading up to that episode, who's it gonna be, who's it gonna be? So, when we found out it was? Yeah."

Chandran likened the real-life meeting to her character's. "But it was like how Edwina feels meeting her granddad initially is like, exactly how I felt. I don't think there was any acting involved there. I was just like, 'yes, come on [...] Oh Anthony Head'."
Fanning her flames of love further, when Bailey mentioned Head's a "sort of academic sort of sexty-librarian", Chandran insisted the actor is actually "goofy and playful in real life. He's so unassuming. He's just amazing. As much of a pro as he is."
