Line of Duty, Downton Abbey stars in ITV's Our House first look

Line of Duty's Martin Compston and Downton Abbey's Tuppence Middleton star in the first-look images for upcoming ITV series Our House.

Based on Louise Candlish's best-selling novel by the same name, the thriller promises to have viewers on the edge of their seats, as it sees protagonist Fiona Lawson arrive home one day to strangers moving themselves into her house.

"With all her family's possessions and furniture nowhere to be seen, Fi believes there's been a huge mistake and insists her home isn't for sale," the official synopsis reads.

"With events spiralling beyond her control, we feel her panic rising as she can't reach estranged husband, Bram.

Whitechapel's Rupert Penry-Jones is on board to play the "enigmatic" Toby, while I May Destroy You's Weruche Opia and Honour's Buket Komur star as Fi's best friend and neighbour Merle and "mysterious and alluring" Wendy, respectively.

The latter embarks on a romance with Bram, while Fi finds herself getting close with Toby. So, yes, in true ITV thriller fashion, things are bound to get complicated.

The outing was adapted to screen by EastEnders writer Simon Ashdown, while Bridgerton's Sheree Folkson directs all four episodes.

"The scripts are genuinely thrilling, packed with twists and turns that kept me guessing until the end," Compston teased, in a statement that was released alongside the casting news way back in July 2021.
