ITV's bomb disposal thriller Trigger Point could kill off its characters at any given moment, according to Joel Nutkins actor Adrian Lester and Lana Washington's Vicky McClure.
The duo sat down for a chat with Digital Spy and other media recently, where they showered series writer Daniel Brierley and executive producer Jed Mercurio (the man behind Line of Duty) in praise for their nail-biting creation.

"I think one of the fun things is that people don't know what's going to happen next," began Lester, who TV fans will also remember from Hustle.
"Daniel's script keeps the audience on their toes, drip-feeds the information as all good thrillers should and stays one step ahead of them. And you have to truly believe that you don't know what's going to happen next and truly believe in the main threat that your characters are facing, otherwise it's boring.
"And I think that you definitely get that with the Jed shows, and Daniel's script definitely provides that."

Potentially foreshadowing a shock death, the Nutkins star teased how "something bad" looms over every character as the drama unravels.
"We don't know what's going on, we don't know what's going to happen next and it's a world that we're not really used to seeing, so you definitely have a feeling that something bad could happen to somebody at some point."
McClure, meanwhile, likened her experience on this one to the days of turning over Line of Duty pages – never sure whether DI Kate Fleming (her character) would survive.
Trigger Point resumes this Sunday (January 30) on ITV.
