The Crown has unveiled its latest cast member for the upcoming fifth season, with Jonny Lee Miller joining the ensemble.
The Elementary star is set to take on the role of former UK Prime Minister John Major, who succeeded Margaret Thatcher in the role in 1990 and remained in office until 1997, where he was replaced by Tony Blair.

Miller has perhaps been best known for playing Sherlock Holmes in the aforementioned CBS series in recent years, and has previously appeared in the likes of Dexter and Trainspotting.
The star joins a rejigged cast for season 5 of the Netflix Royal drama as events move into the '90s, with the breakdown of Prince Charles and Princess Diana's marriage expected to be covered.
Harry Potter's Imelda Staunton is taking over the role of Queen Elizabeth II from Olivia Colman, while Game of Thrones' Jonathan Pryce is succeeding Tobias Menzies as Prince Philip.
Tenet's Elizabeth Debicki will play Diana after Emma Corrin's turn in season 4, as Mum's Lesley Manville takes on the role of Princess Margaret from Helena Bonham Carter.
Rumours are also swirling that The Wire's Dominic West and The Father's Olivia Williams will take over as Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles from Josh O'Connor and Emerald Fennell.

Season 5 is due to start filming from next month, according to reports, with a 2022 air date expected.
The Crown seasons 1-4 are now streaming on Netflix, while seasons 1-3 are also available on DVD and Blu-ray.
