Fleabag wrapped up with its second series, with Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Sian Clifford having stated multiple times that series 2 wrapped everything up in the way that suited the story best.
But now, Clifford, who played Fleabag's sister Claire, has revealed that a second series almost didn't happen at all!
Clifford was speaking at a BAFTA Q&A event, where she stated that Waller-Bridge originally was unsure about if she could pull off a sophomore run.

"I was one of the people who were encouraging a very reluctant Phoebe to even make a second series," Clifford said. "She didn't want to do it.
"Lucky for her, our producers gave her time and space. She just said, 'I'm not doing it unless I have a good enough idea'. She waited and she was able to buy some time because she had another project on.
"Not everyone is afforded that privilege but they let her do that and I think the project benefitted from that. We all benefitted from it because we all went off and learnt about ourselves.
"I was definitely a better actor when I came back. We'd grown. There was definitely more confidence, and that's to do with finding the actor I was pre-drama school."
Just yesterday, it was announced that Fleabag star Andrew Scott's scheduled live-stream performances of Three Kings have been delayed, as he was taken to hospital to undergo minor surgery.
"The issue isn't serious (or COVID-19 related) and we are expecting Andrew to have a speedy recovery," the Old Vic theatre said. "He sends his love and apologies and says he'll see everyone next week."
