Some exciting news for fans of Call the Midwife has been revealed on the show's social media pages.

The show's creators are publishing a new book called The Wisdom of Call the Midwife: Words of inspiration from the Sisters and midwives of Nonnatus House. It's a series companion book filled to the brim with "the most heart-warming, inspiring narrations and life-affirming quotes" from scripts from throughout the show's 10 year history.

In the caption, the announcement post explained how the idea for the book came from the fans, saying: "Over the years, so many you have told us how moved you've been by the beautifully written narrations and speeches that take place in our episodes, and how you would love to see some of these wise words in print… Well, now you can!"

Call the Midwife series creator and writer Heidi Thomas said of the book: "Our lovely, loyal viewers have been asking for a book of quotes from the series for a long time, and with our tenth anniversary approaching, I know they will be thrilled with this unique keepsake."

With a whole decade of scripts to draw from, we're sure this book won't disappoint, with some favourite moments and some perhaps forgotten ones, all pulled together in one place.

The Instagram caption also went on to explain a little more of what fans can expect, continuing: "The Wisdom of Call the Midwife is a selection of timeless Nonnatus House moments, containing lessons on love, friendship, motherhood, faith, family, home and much more – from the glamorous but vulnerable Trixie, forthright Nurse Crane, delightfully witty Sisters Evangelina and Monica Joan, and of course the wise and iconic narrations of Jennifer."
