Peaky Blinders reached new levels with its fifth series, and while we're going to have to wait a bit longer for season 6 following delays to production, that's only making us more and more excited.
Former Hollyoaks and The Fall star Emmett J Scanlan has been teasing the fact he knows what's coming up in an exclusive chat with Digital Spy, and he's made a pretty explicit promise: that the upcoming episodes are going to be "so f**king good".
"We won at the NTAs this year, just before lockdown, and myself and [show creator] Steven [Knight] spoke about what's to come very briefly," said Emmett, who plays Billy Grade on Peaky Blinders.

"I’ve read all the scripts since then, which of course are all subject to change. But they're so f**king strong. It won't disappoint, I promise you. Steven is a master."
He previously admitted that he's been getting some stick from people who think that Billy betrayed Tommy Shelby and co in season 5, including someone who heckled him at the gym.
While that's not a nice thing to do, he did say that it is entirely possible for Billy to have betrayed the Peaky Blinders, since they do treat him dreadfully.

Emmett added that if Billy "isn't the rat", he'd like to see his character stand up to the Peaky Blinders in future series.
Meanwhile, creator Steven Knight has admitted there have been some script changes to season six after production was paused earlier this year due to COVID-19.
"We've had to change a few things because of actors' schedules," he said. "I've been through the scripts, so some things have developed and changed, I think, for the better.
