Ricky Gervais is known for doing two series and a special of his shows, opting to leave fans wanting more rather than dragging a project out.
But Netflix has commissioned a third run of After Life, and it looks the comedian is already hard at work writing it.
Star Ashley Jensen appeared on BBC One's The One Show last week, and told hosts Alex Jones and Rylan Clark-Neal about what she knows.
"I know a third series is already on its way," she said. "And I think Ricky has tapped a few words into his computer, or quill, or whatever he uses."
He did hint that he would break his trend and write a third season of one of his shows if the season 2 reaction was positive enough.
"The better it goes down the worst it is for me, you can do something f**king amazing, and everyone goes: 'Oh god, it's the best thing ever, 10/10'," he joked on Twitter.

"But if you do something else that is 9.5/10 people are like: 'It's f**king awful, this is the worst show on television'. So that's what goes through my mind."
Actors Mandeep Dhillon and Joe Wilkinson have admitted that they would like things to be on the up for their characters in the third season, with the latter saying that he'd like to see Pat and Roxy have a really solid relationship next time around.
After Life seasons 1 and 2 are on Netflix now, while The One Show airs weeknights at 7pm on BBC One.
