Michelle Keegan has exclusively shared with Digital Spy why her Brassic co-star Joe Gilgun has an all-new look for season two.
The former Our Girl actress is back on screens this week in Sky's crime comedy as right-hand-woman Erin to Gilgun's Vinnie, the latter of whom will be sporting some bleached blonde hair this time around.
When we recently spoke to Keegan, she explained the series co-creator Gilgun came up with Vinnie's new look as a physical way to express the gang coming out of hiding.
"It was actually Joe's idea to bleach his hair," she told us.
"I think for him it was probably to portray a rebirth for Vinnie because at the beginning of season two he's in hiding because he's faked his own death, so he’s got a beard, he’s in disguise, he hasn't showered.

"It's amazing working with Joe, he's so funny – he's the funniest guy I've ever met and he always seems to brighten up the mood when he walks on set," she beamed.
"He's a storyteller at the end of the day and you see crowds gather round him when he’s telling these stories because you don't know what's going to come out of his mouth, he's so unpredictable but everyone loves him so yeah it's such good fun working with him."
Brassic season 2 returns on May 7, and all episodes will be available on Sky One and streaming service NOW TV.
