Vicky McClure has responded to the prospect of a new series of This Is England set in the 2000s.
Before her Line of Duty days, McClure famously starred in the hit 2006 film as Lol, before reprising the role in spin-off series '86, '88 and most recently '90 in 2015.
Now, creator Shane Meadows has admitted that he has an idea for a fourth series, this time set in 2000, while being interviewed by Milky actor Andrew Shim on YouTube.

"I don't know when but I've got This Is England '00 in my head, the millennium one, because I sort of thought it would be nice," he said.
Responding to Meadows' words on Twitter, McClure seemed pretty enthusiastic about the idea, saying with a wink emoji: "I like the sound of this."
Exciting news – especially considering that back in 2016 star Michael Socha (Harvey) predicted that there wouldn't be another series after '90.
"I don't think Shane will do another one," he told Digital Spy. "Never say never, he says, but I think from what I gather, there ain't that much more to tell. I think the story's ended.
"If Shane was to pick it up in a few years, I know it'd be good. But he's not stupid – he's very aware of what he's putting out and when he should stop."
Meanwhile, McClure recently revealed how much of Line of Duty series six had been filmed before production was shut down due to lockdown measures.
Line of Duty airs on BBC One. Series 1-5 are available on boxset now.
