Amazon and BBC both boast incredibly popular motoring shows, but how do The Grand Tour and Top Gear manage to avoid crossing over their content?
In an interview with Deadline, Top Gear executive producer Alex Renton revealed that the two production teams will often communicate informally behind the scenes, so that the two globetrotting series don't overlap each other.
It makes a lot of sense, because there's been some close calls in the past.

Previously, the BBC title was set to explore driving locations in Azerbaijan, but quickly scrapped the idea after discovering that Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May had already secured filming in the country.
But it can go both ways, as Freddie Flintoff, Paddy McGuinness and Chris Harris beat the other trio in a race to shoot footage in Nepal – providing the backdrop for Top Gear's 2019 Christmas special.
Fellow executive producer Clare Pizey explained: "If we know in advance they are going somewhere, we would avoid it because it's not what viewers want."

Meanwhile, it's been announced that Top Gear's Flintoff will appear in a new BBC documentary investigating male eating disorders and body dysmorphia.
The Grand Tour airs on Amazon Prime, while Top Gear airs on BBC Two.
