Fleabag fans are kinda having a crisis of faith right about now.
Phoebe Waller-Bridge's fourth-wall breaking comedy series has developed a bit of a following around Andrew Scott's unnamed priest character for the second season. They especially loved his sexual chemistry with Fleabag herself.

So, fans of the show assumed it was a certainty that Scott would win a Golden Globe Award on Sunday night (January 5) when the 1917 star was nominated for Supporting Actor in the Miniseries or Television Film category.
While Fleabag triumphed in the Best Comedy/Musical category and its creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge took home the award for Best Actress in a Comedy, unfortunately, the higher power wasn't on the Hot Priest's side on Sunday night.
Instead, Marvel star Stellan Skarsgård won the Globe for his performance in HBO and Sky's Chernobyl.

Sunday wasn't an entirely unholy night! Phoebe Waller-Bridge did win the Globe for Best Actress in a Television Series, and made sure to shout out co-star Andrew Scott in her acceptance speech.
"This really comes down to Andrew Scott, really," she said. "There was a lot of talk about chemistry between us in the show, but he could have chemistry with a pebble.
"So, thank you for letting me be your pebble."
