Dracula star Claes Bang faced a number of surprising challenges on set thanks to some of the props he used as a vampire.
Ahead of the new BBC show's premiere this evening (January 1), the Dracula actor spoke to Digital Spy and other press about some hurdles while making the series – and it seems being a blood-sucking monster has its difficulties.
Explaining that his fangs were an "enlarged" version of his own teeth, he revealed that they thankfully didn't fall out... though caused another issue.
"I had a little bit of a problem with the 'S's in the beginning," Bang said. "They sort of got in the way."
The actor added that his nails "came off all the time".
Bang went on to explain how they approached the all-important blood, with producer Sue Vertue revealing there was "prop blood, and there was make-up blood, and blood you could eat".

"I think I preferred a combination, because we started out with something that was something that was really red, obviously, but very syrupy," Bang added.
"And it was so thick and sweet. So they would put some beetroot and lemon in it. It's really hard to make blood that you can actually work with like that. But they did a great job."
"I'm not sure what it was," the star continued. "It was very thick, and not very nice to have in your mouth, to be honest. It is mainly syrup, because you need the thickness.
"We put beetroot in it, because it took a bit of the sweetness out of it. It is mainly syrup, because you need something quite thick.
"But it's not very nice to drink a lot of that, so you have to do something with it, for the taste of it. Because otherwise I would just choke on it."
Dracula will air on BBC One in the UK on New Year's Day and on Netflix outside of the UK and Ireland.
