Yes, the Doctor Who cast have their own WhatsApp group, and, yes, there are hilarious timey wimey things happening in it that Whovians wish they could be a part of.
These cast WhatsApp groups have become something of a staple for most series — they even manage to extend drama off-screen for reality telly shows like Love Island and RuPaul's Drag Race UK.
Nobody's majorly beefing in the TARDIS version of the group chat, but Mandip Gill did reveal to Digital Spy and other media that co-star Bradley Walsh does "like an emoji" in his very frequent messages.

"Only because I found out how to do them this year," Bradders explained. "I haven't gotten over the novelty... I'm like, 'What's that? Wowee. I like it'. In fact, I've WhatsApped you twice since we got [it]."
The Doctor, Jodie Whittaker, definitely sounds a bit tired of the emoji overload, telling Bradley: "He's so needy! We're responding out loud. We went, 'Hahaha' the other day. And he’s like, 'You didn't respond to my joke'."
"The other day, he texted me and said, 'Is the group ignoring me?'" Mandip sympathised.
For the record, the Yaz actress wants the world to know that she never intentionally shades The Chase presenter's jokes, in group chats or in actual life.
"Like, today, [he said] 'You didn't laugh at my joke'. We were like, 'We did out loud, in real life'," she pointed out.
Bradley countered: "Just put 'ha ha ha' like you normally do!"
This WhatsApp group sounds almost as exhausting as facing off with the Cybermen!
