The final part of new ITV drama The Little House beat the series nine finale of Spooks on Monday night, according to the latest audience data.
The Little House, based on Philippa Gregory's bestselling novel, averaged 5.89m (22.5%) for ITV1 from 9pm and 206k (0.8%) on ITV1 HD.
The programme's combined audience easily outperformed Spooks in the 9pm hour, after the espionage drama appealed to 5.36m (20.5%) on BBC One.
The One Show attracted 4.82m (21.1%) to BBC One from 7pm, before Inside Out grabbed 3.68m (15.3%). Panorama: Are You Paying Too Much Tax? mustered 3.1m (11.8%) from 8.30pm.
Earlier on ITV1, Wild Britain with Ray Mears pulled in 3.87m (15%) from 8pm and 103k (0.4%) on ITV1 HD.
Over at Channel 4, Dispatches: Fashion's Dirty Secret was watched by 1.14m (4.4%) in the 8pm hour and 135k (0.5%) on Channel 4 +1. It was followed by Coppers, which locked up 2.65m (10.1%) and 349k (1.9%) on timeshift.

Chris Moyles' Quiz Night continued to 1.43m (7.5%) on Channel 4 from 10pm, while 168k (1.7%) tuned in an hour later.
On BBC Two, Michael Wood's Story Of England had 1.09m (4.6%) in the 7pm hour, before University Challenge mustered 3.05m (11.8%).
MasterChef: The Professionals - Michel's Classics secured 2.46m (9.4%) from 8.30pm, before new series Giles and Sue Live The Good Life opened to 2.27m (8.7%). The Trip then amused 1.54m (7.5%) from 10pm.
Channel 5's How Do They Do It? attracted 608k (2.5%) from 7.30pm, before The Gadget Show averaged 1.11m (4.2%) in the 8pm hour.
Extreme Fishing With Robson Greene caught 1.47m (5.6%) on Channel 5 in the 9pm hour. It was followed by a screening of Se7en, which took 986k (8.3%).
ITV1 won primetime with 26.3% (HD: 0.8%) against BBC One's 20.9%. BBC Two came in third with 7.7%, followed by Channel 4 with 6.1% (+1: 0.8%) and Channel 5 with 4.4%.
Elsewhere, The Sarah Jane Adventures grabbed 813k (4%) on CBBC from 5.15pm, which was the second largest multichannel audience of the evening.
The biggest went to a repeat of EastEnders, which grabbed 829k (4%) on BBC Three between 10pm and 10.30pm.
