Note: The following contains spoilers for the series finale of BBC One's Years and Years.
Years and Years creator Russell T Davies has some answers on the biggest questions coming out of an emotionally-wrenching series finale.
The futuristic drama has been a tour de force throughout the last several weeks, dealing viewers a mix of technological terrors straight out of Black Mirror mixed with some truly poignant family drama.
The finale left off with Edith (Jessica Hynes) and her family rescuing Viktor (Maxim Baldry) from the refugee camp, and exposing the many crimes of Viv Rook's (Emma Thompson) fascist Four Star Party in the process.
Sadly for Edith, she finally succumbed to the radiation from the nuclear blast earlier in the series, but her exact fate was left ambiguous because she tried uploading her consciousness to the cloud.
Is that actually the end of Years and Years? Former Doctor Who boss Russell T Davies is no stranger to regeneration, but he's told Radio Times that he has no plans to bring back Years and Years.

"It always was a one-off," he insisted. "Even way back in production, it was never discussed in terms of a second series."
The writer admitted that the BBC likely wouldn't want another go-round anyway because "the viewing figures aren't that good" — not that he'd be interested, if asked.
"The show goes 15 years in the future and that's when cars and things would really start to change beyond all recognition," Davies said. "Life would be so different that we'd need a different budget for it – it would be a different and very expensive show.
"Years and Years has reached its limit. It's just time to stop."
Davies stopped short of offering any firm answers on Years and Years, which left off with the Lyons family waiting to see if Edith's consciousness had successfully been uploaded to the cloud.
"I will never answer that question," he vowed. "That's the end. That's the last episode. [Another series would mean] I'd have to decide the Edith question and I would never want to do that."
Years and Years airs on BBC One.
