Underworld star Kate Beckinsale is set for some jungle danger in ITV's new thriller The Widow.

From BAFTA-nominated screenwriters Harry and Jack Williams (Liar, The Missing), The Widow tells the story of Georgia Wells (Beckinsale) who is summoned to the jungle to unravel the mystery of her late husband's plane crash from 10 years ago.

And judging from these first-look photos below – in which Beckinsale wields a gun and generally looks rather perturbed and grubby – it seems Georgia will be in deeper trouble than she perhaps anticipated.
