BBC is celebrating an exciting year of TV drama ahead by releasing sneak previews of the return of hits Killing Eve, Peaky Blinders, Call The Midwife, Luther and Poldark.
To ring in 2019, the Beeb has unveiled a trailer previewing many of the new and returning dramas that will be rolling out over the next 12 months — have a look below:
Among the new shows getting a preview are the recently-premiered Les Misérables, the science fiction epic War of the Worlds and The Missing's spin-off bringing back Tchéky Karyo as investigator Julien Baptiste.
Several returning favourites are featured as well, including another peek at Line of Duty following its first-look preview last week.
Back on the streets of London once again beginning tonight (January 1) is Idris Elba, who has to deal with the dual threats of a masked killer on the loose and a local crime boss putting a hit on him. Oh, and the return of a certain lady from his past.
"This season is extremely complex," Elba recently promised. "There is one antagonist, one killer, but so many things fall out of that and it starts to unfold and unfold."

Also back in 2019 will be Killing Eve for its second season, which Jodie Comer has teased will centre around killer Villanelle "battling with her conscience" for the first time.
BBC kicks off its New Year of Drama with the return of Luther on New Year's Day (January 1, 2019) at 9pm on BBC One.
