Using your phone abroad can be a costly affair, but thankfully there are some options to keep the price down a bit across Europe at least.

EE customers can now take advantage of a new Euro Pass scheme which costs from £3 per day.

With it, users will get unlimited calls and texts, as well as 100mb of 4G data to use.

If you manage to use up the 4G data, you'll be given a further 400mb of 3G data to keep you going for the rest of the day. Plus there's no risk of hefty charges should you guzzle the data up, as the internet will cut off once the limit is reached.

Only those on a 4GEE Extra plan can get Euro Pass for £3, otherwise it will cost £4.

To get Euro Pass, customers have to text EUROPASS or EURODATA to 150 - charges will be deducted automatically.
