The Samsung Galaxy S6 is close to perfect - receiving five stars in Digital Spy's review - but unfortunately this comes at a price.

If you're not willing to shell out over £600 for a smartphone, but still want top of the range specs then the Honor 6+ might be for you.

With an octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM and 4G, the Honor 6+ matches the latest flagship devices from Sony, Samsung and HTC.

Other specifications include either 16GB or 32GB of internal storage (expandable via MicroSD), a full HD screen, dual 8-megapixel cameras on the rear, and a 3600 mAh battery.

Digital Spy has had a quick play with the 6+, and while the design isn't exactly inspiring, it is reassuringly solid.

It comes running Huawei's Emotion UI on top of Android 4.4 - but an upgrade to Lollipop is imminent.

The smartphone will be available from May 1, exclusive to the Three network in the UK. As for the price, the Honor 6+ comes in at a very reasonable £299 on PAYG, with multiple contract options also available.
