Following on from yesterday's shock and, quite frankly, baffling news that Nando's uses McCain chips in its restaurants, we've learned something even more surprising. The chain is not alone.
It turns out that fellow high street faves Burger King and McDonald's are ALSO serving up McCain-made skinny French fries – most commonly found stuffed in a freezer drawer at home – to their customers.
Hold the ketchup, we need a moment to process this.
Confirming the news to The Sun, a McDonald's spokesman said: "We work with two suppliers to make our world famous fries, McCain and Lamb Weston – partnering with them for over 30 years.
"Our fries are made to our own unique specifications from 100% British potatoes."
Meanwhile, officials at Burger King have previously revealed a partnership with McCain, too. We just can't believe it... or understand it, actually.

The initial revelation of the Nando's and McCain love-in came via the Leicester Mercury on Monday, with a former employee revealing: "The chips served at Nando's are actually supplied by McCain. So you could recreate part of the Nando's experience at home quite easily if you wanted to."
And a Nando's spokesperson confirmed the news, explaining that it has a special partnership with McCain Potato Products, commenting:
"As per standard industry practice, some of our non-meat items are delivered frozen, such as our hugely popular chips which we developed in partnership with McCain and are exclusive to Nando's."
