Cherry Garcia fans, Starbucks' just dropped the latte of your dreams. While last year's Valentine's Day drinks were heavy on the chocolate — Molten Chocolate Lattes, Frappuccinos and Hot Chocolate's were offered for a limited time — this year's limited-edition drink has a fruity twist. Don't worry, chocolate is still involved too.
The Cherry Mocha will be available for one week only, beginning February 7 and running until the 14th. It's made with hot espresso, mocha sauce and candied cherry syrup, then topped with whipped cream and sugar and cocoa Valentine's sprinkles. As always, it can be ordered hot, iced, or blended.
Starbucks' bakery case is getting a few new additions for the holiday, too. There's a confetti-heart-covered cake pop made with chocolate cake and milk chocolate icing, as well as a sugar cookie topped with white or pink icing and colourful sprinkles. Both desserts are now available in the US, in case you want to show someone (or yourself) some love early.
If you're wishing the Molten Chocolate drinks would make a comeback, Starbucks has you covered. They are bringing back last year's drink in a to-go version: Starbucks Molten Chocolate Ready-To-Drink Iced Lattes can now be found in groceries stores in the US for $2.79. These ready-made lattes are made with espresso and milk.
While Valentine's Day is all about the sweet stuff, Starbs also recently added a new savoury dish to stores, and it will make Southern hearts soar. The new Chicken Sausage and Bacon Biscuit sounds like it belongs at a Bojangles, and is served on a cornbread biscuit with country-style gravy and honey chipotle butter. It's fine if you're drooling, we are too.
