We've all known the struggle of choosing between 10 almost-but-not-quite identical selfies. And not that your self-esteem should be governed by the amount of social media love you're getting or anything, but sometimes you've just got to put up a fire pic to bring in the likes and make an ex jealous.
Guess what guys? There's an app for that.
Like an honest BFF who tells you when you're not looking your best, EyeEm Selects will help you to choose photos that will up your Instagram game – and tell you which pictures you definitely shouldn't post. Harsh, but we're up for it.
While the concept isn't entirely new – Google Photos has a similar feature and there are apps that claim to do the same thing – EyeEm doesn't just use a standard algorithm for every person. Instead, the app uses image-recognition technology which takes its lead from professional photographers.
Photos are not only judged on composition and quality, but technical story, too – so don't be forgetting the importance of a good caption, guys.
EyeEm Selects will also go through your existing snaps, should you let it, and select old photos that you should be posting now. Sounds like the perfect reason to remind everyone of that dreamy holiday you took two years ago…

Photo hoarders take note: this might be what you need to finally delete the majority of those identical pictures stashed away on your camera roll.
The app is currently only available on Android, but hey – iPhone users shouldn't get to have ALL the fun. But you will get some, because an iOS version it's on its way soon.
