On his rise to becoming president-elect, Donald Trump became one of Twitter's most prevalent users — consistently offering controversial hot-takes filled with exclamation marks.

Naturally, with Trump now holding meetings with everyone from Kanye West to Leonardo DiCaprio, you'd expect Twitter to be among the group of tech giants heading to Trump Tower to discuss the future of the industry.

Well, because of a disagreement over an emoji, the social media platform was reportedly 'bounced' from the meeting.

That's according to sources at Politico and Reuters, who indicate that Twitter's exclusion from the Manhattan summit stemmed from Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey's role in declining to make branded emojis on behalf of the Republican candidate and eventual winner during the election campaign.

You might be wondering what exactly the emoji was slated to be — maybe #MakeAmericaGreatAgain, or perhaps #BuildThatWall would receive a hashflag?

Err, not exactly. Trump's election campaign had allegedly offered to pay to have an emoji that would show up on tweets during the second presidential debate any time Twitter users used the hashtag #CrookedHillary.
