The Sims 4's latest base game update has added a number of features including expanded ghosts gameplay and the ability to WooHoo the Grim Reaper.
Coinciding with the release of the Life & Death expansion next week, the update is free for all players to download now and the full patch notes can be found here.
Simmers can now make Sims (and pets if you have Cats & Dogs or Horse Ranch) ghosts in Create-a-Sim (CAS) mode, as well as setting the cause of death.

When a Sim dies, the player is given two options: 'Become a Playable Ghost' and 'Become a Freeroaming Ghost'.
As a playable ghost, the Sim will have a new set of needs replacing the standard set for living Sims: Goo Waste (in place of Bladder), Ethereal Sustenance (Hunger), Otherworldly Slumber (Energy), Spooky Diversions (Fun), Ethereal Bonding (Social), and Apparition Cleansing (Hygiene).

And as part of the update, Sims can sleep with the Grim Reaper, something that previously couldn't be done in the game without taking advantage of cheats or mods.

Other features added with the free update include a new urn and gravestone for mermaids, the ability to swap occults in CAS, and new 'true black' colour variants for a range of base-game shoes.
The Life & Death expansion, which is out on Halloween (October 31), isn't the only paid content coming over the next few weeks.
Earlier this week, EA and Maxis revealed the first two creator kits – which are regular kits but built and designed by creators from the community.
The Cozy Kitsch Kit, by Myshunosun, is a build/buy kit consisting of items with "vibrant colours and mid-century modern designs".
One of the items is a vintage radio, which Myshunosun said was her "favourite piece in the kit".
She added: "When The Sims team reached out to me, I immediately envisioned a specific palette of vivid reds, mustardy yellows, and amethyst greens. I associate these vibrant shades with mid-century design, which I consider a timeless style in interior design."
The Sweet Slumber Party Kit, by Trillyke, is a CAS kit with a focus on sleepwear and sleepover clothing.
Trillyke said that she was inspired by movies when designing her kit.
"I was always fascinated by how sleepover parties were portrayed in movies. Endless hours of gossiping, dozens of teen magazines and skin care products scattered around the room, cute PJs and fluffy socks!" she explained.
The Sims 4 is available on PC, Mac, PlayStation, and Xbox.
