Twitter has experienced a service interruption this evening (March 11).
The social networking site became inaccessible to the majority of users.
Users reported problems accessing the site from 6.15pm GMT, with it spreading across all platforms.
The company acknowledged the problem, writing on their status blog: "Most users are experiencing issues accessing Twitter on web and mobile apps. We're looking into it."
Service is being gradually restored to users as of 6.50pm. Reasons for the outage have yet to be clarified, but the company has since said the service is back up and running.
