Google's Chromecast and Chromecast 4K have both been given a price cut once again for Black Friday.

Usually retailing for £59.99, customers can purchase the Chromecast 4K with Google TV at a reduced price of £39.99 via most outlets. That's a 33% saving.

However, Amazon has cut the price a little further, and is listing it for £39 if you're happy to purchase the 'Snow' colourway (it's also available in 'Sky' light blue, again for a Black Friday sale price of £39.99).

Launched in autumn 2020 and streaming in 4K UHD (2160p and 60fps, for the record), this edition of the Chromecast has a remote with its own dedicated Google Assistant button, and you can use it to control other connected devices or group it with Google speakers and devices to get a multi-room audio experience.

It also runs the Android TV operating system, branded as Google TV, and supports Google Stadia if you're into cloud gaming.

Meanwhile, the Chromecast with Google TV HD edition is also reduced in price from £34.99 to £22.99 (a 34% saving). This is its lowest pricing to date on Amazon, where it was reduced to £24 during the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales period in 2022.

The device was made available for £22.99 earlier this year – but only to Amazon's Prime members as part of an exclusive sale.

While it doesn't give you 4K HDR pictures, you can still stream in up to 1080p HDR with this device.

And like the 4K edition, you can group it with Google's Nest speakers and displays for a connected smart home experience, and connect to Google TV plus loads of smart TV apps.

Elsewhere, Amazon is also running price cuts across its own-brand devices including the Echo range, selected Fire TV streaming sticks and new Omni QLED, 4-Series and 2-Series smart TVs, Kindles and Fire tablets.
