Waterloo Road star Adam Thomas has teased that the show's upcoming return after seven years off-screen will be "the best series" of the drama yet.
Adam Thomas, who played bad-boy Donte Charles in series 1 to 4 of the BBC show, is set to reprise his role for series 11, and has promised fans the new chapter will be worth the wait.
"It's going to be the best series yet," the actor told Evening Standard. "It has been great fun, really good and it's exciting to get back doing what I love and seeing some new cast and old cast as well.
"It has taken me back down memory lane a little bit."

Thomas' character Donte was last seen on the school drama in 2009 when he left the series alongside his onscreen wife Chlo, played by Katie Griffiths, and their daughter Izzy.

Back in March, Adam took to his Instagram to mark his first day back on set and shared a picture with Scarlett, who is the daughter of Coronation Street stars Ryan Thomas and Tina O'Brien.
"Am just in awe of this girl, could watch her all day every day! Can not wait for you guys to see her in action!" the proud uncle wrote.
Thomas' real-life son Teddy will also join the cast, playing Donte and Chlo's son Tommy.
The revival was first announced last September, and alongside the return of Thomas, Griffiths and Angela Griffin as Kim Campbell, the new episodes will also see a host of new faces, including former Corrie stars Kym Marsh, EastEnders star Jo Coffey and Vincent Jerome, among others.
"Waterloo Road was a huge part of my life and career so to go back 15 years later is a dream come true," Thomas said in a statement about the revival series. "I can't wait to see some old faces and some new."
Waterloo Road will return to BBC One and BBC iPlayer later this year.
