On ITV, Emmerdale appealed to 4.97m (30.4%) at 7pm (155,000/0.8% on +1) as Moira feared the worst over Cain and Charity.

A second episode - clashing with EastEnders - was seen by 3.75m (19.1%) at 8pm (575k/2.9%), as Donna and Ross made plans for a risky job.

Channel 4's Hollyoaks interested 759k (5.1%) at 6.30pm as Ste's loved ones rallied round him. E4's first-look gathered 735k (4.5%) at 7pm (173k/0.9%).

Earlier, BBC One's Doctors continued with 979k (16.3%) at 1.45pm.
