Coronation Street's live episode is coming this week, and now you'll be able to peek at what's happening behind the scenes while it's on the air.

Stephen Mulhern will present Coronation Street Live: Access All Areas, which will be streamed online on Wednesday, September 23. Watch a preview here:

In a first for the soap in its 55-year history, fans are being encouraged to watch the soap on ITV alongside the behind-the-scenes view on mobiles, tablets and computers via Corrie's Facebook page or itv.com.

11 cameras will be set up around the set in Manchester's MediaCity, allowing us to watch both cast and crew as they prepare and carry out the live episode.

During the live episode's advertising breaks, Mulhern will interact with fans though Facebook messages and tweets from Twitter.

One lucky viewer's tweet will even be selected to feature on the Rovers' empty blackboard at the end of the episode, while you can also help choose the songs to soundtrack Andrea and Lloyd's leaving party.

After the episode finishes broadcasting, the live stream will jump to ITV2 with Mulhern gathering reaction from the cast (hopefully no "How's Adam?" mistakes to dissect...)

A live fan Q&A will also take place on Twitter.

Coronation Street Live: Access All Areas starts straight after Emmerdale on Wednesday, September 23.
