Jane (Annie Jones) is about to take over as the principal of Erinsborough High when Susan is suspended over her attempted murder charges.
What to Read Next
Although Susan (Jackie Woodburne) isn't too surprised that her career is hanging in the balance after what she did to Finn Kelly, she is pretty shocked when Jane starts making some major changes at the school in her absence.
Jane is quick to make her mark by implementing a strict new rule which states that the Erinsborough High staff won't be allowed off-site during the school day. She also comes up with a new dress code, concerned that Elly Conway's work outfits are unprofessional.
Susan can't resist sticking her nose in by branding Jane's rules old-fashioned, but Jane hits back by insisting that she's not interested in the opinions of an ex-principal who's facing attempted murder charges. Ouch.
The drama at Erinsborough High intensifies further when Jane is told that she needs to get rid of one staff member.
Jane's decision is made easier when Elly (Jodi Anasta) breaks the rule about staying on site by sneaking off to see her sister Bea Nilsson at the garage.
Susan is shocked when she hears about Elly's sacking and once again confronts Jane over the changes she's making at the school.
Although Susan is keen to point out that her suspension will only be temporary, Jane hints that she might be sticking around in the principal role on a long-term basis.
Jane's warnings leave Susan irritated and she becomes more determined than ever to fight her charges and get back to work. But will that be easier said than done?
