Still reeling from heartbreak, Terese throws herself into work at Eirini Rising, testing Karl and Susan's patience as she over-steps on all fronts at work. Knowing her better than anyone else, Paul suggests Terese is using work as an emotional shield.
Terese admits he's right, then apologises to Karl and Susan for her misplaced intensity, explaining the fact dawned on her while talking to Paul. Karl and Susan privately worry about Terese spending time with Paul.
Toadie accepts Mackenzie's resignation, offering his congratulations on her new job in Paris. Mackenzie confesses that although she will miss Erinsborough, leaving will give her and Haz a chance to start afresh, unburdened by their history on Ramsay Street.

Meanwhile, on a mission to heal the rift in her marriage, Wendy visits Felix in hospital, hoping she can be a conduit between Felix and Andrew. Felix admits he isn't holding out any hope for reconciliation, knowing his past bad behaviour is to blame. Wendy is surprised by his uncharacteristic humility.
Later, when Andrew checks in on JJ's wellbeing since Felix's resurfacing, Remi mentions that she saw Wendy visiting him. Andrew confronts Wendy in hospital, betrayed by her visit against his wishes.
Wendy is apologetic, but believing Felix has changed, she encourages Andrew to talk to him. Reluctantly, Andrew agrees and is thrown when he learns Felix got hurt trying to protect both guards and bystander inmates.
Felix later learns that his heroics mean he's being considered for an early release from prison.
Elsewhere, Isla accidentally knocks over a smoothie, spilling it all over Nicolette's phone. With Nicolette panicking about unbacked-up photos (many of Isla with David), Haz swoops in to help.
Haz manages to get the moisture out and sets about salvaging all the potentially lost photos, voice memos, notes, call logs, and deleted files. Keeping an eye on the procedure while Haz is busy in Harold's, Aaron notices a folder marked "FAMILY".
He opens it and discovers Nicolette's dossier of evidence she'd been amassing against him. Aaron demands an explanation from Nicolette.
